The Auto-lock feature automatically locks your charger after a defined time or at the end of a charging session to protect it from unauthorised use.
To use a charger with the Auto-lock enabled, users must authenticate themselves.
Enabling/Disabling Auto-Lock feature from the myWallbox app
- Ensure your Wallbox charger and myWallbox app run the latest version (you can check its version in your Play Store or App Store).
- Log into the myWallbox app by filling in your credentials, or register if you do not have an account yet.
- Select your charger. Wait until the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection is established.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Enter the “Advanced Options”.
- The “Private Charge” mode is enabled by default. You can enable or disable this mode at any time.
- Additionally, you can set a timer for locking the charger after a certain time.
- Tap Save.
If you need to lock/unlock your charger quickly, you can also follow this quicker path:
- Ensure your Wallbox charger and myWallbox app have the latest version (you can check its version in your Play Store or App Store).
- Log into the myWallbox app by filling in your credentials, or register if you do not have an account yet.
- Select your charger. Wait until the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection is established.
- Tap the Lock icon to lock and unlock your charger.
Enabling/Disabling Auto-Lock feature from the portal
- Log in to the myWallbox portal.
- Click Chargers in the left menu.
- Select the relevant charger.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Enable “Restricted or Paid access” if you want to lock your charger or “Open access” if you want to leave it unlocked.
- If you lock it, you can set a timer for locking the charger after a certain time.
- The changes are saved automatically.
